Scholarships & Awards

CYHRNet Scholarship

CYHRNet (www.cyhrnet.ca) is offering ten travel/registration stipends of $500 to assist BC child and youth health researchers to present their work at the conference.

Should your abstract be accepted, please send your request or funding to CYHRNet as soon as you have been notified by completing the registration form and emailing it to cyhrnet@uvic.ca.

You will be notified of the award within two weeks of submitting your request.

Consideration will be given to Members of CYHRNet who are from rural communities and those who represent the Aboriginal community.

Recipients of the award will be required to acknowledge the support of CYHRNet in their presentation.

Travel Support for Alberta Registrants - Community Health Research Travel Grants

Community Health Research Travel Grants facilitate contact among health researchers in Alberta, as well as with national and international colleagues. Candidates from a wide variety of disciplines may apply as long as the purpose of the travel is to promote community health research.

Eligibility: Individuals (independent investigators) actively engaged in health research in a non-profit organization in Alberta are eligible to apply. Please note that university faculty are not eligible to apply for these awards.

Applications must be submitted at least three months prior to the intended visit. For more information and to apply, please visit the Alberta Heritage Foundation website.
